Knitting our way through SXSWi 2009
Who's with me?
This will be my 8th SXSWi and as usual, I am totally jazzed about it. I have met friends, heroes, icons, podcasters, bloggers and other knitters at SXSW and that's just part of the awesomeness of this event. I live just outside Austin, so I'm a local if you need to know anything about the area. I work for a state agency as a web geek. I knit for fun. If you see me knitting in one of the panels, say hi. If you want to get together to knit, heck, just jump on here and say so.
In 2007 I organized a SXSWi Knitter's Meetup at the LYS which was a ton of fun, but in 2008 I did not have the time to do it. This wiki is an alternative, ad hoc way for us to find one another and share resources.
Ask for an invite and I'll give you the key.

Looking forward to meeting you all! I'll be knitting with either some Blue Sky Organic cotton on a cable sweater or some Kid Silk Haze for a lace scarf. I'm sure you'll recognize me there!

haha, I imagine we will given enough time - I hear there will be way more people than last year when they had around 8000! If you need anything be sure and check the pages hear where you'll find my email address on my wiki page. Pack layers, we had a cool front blow in and it might not warm up much.

Finally got on here, Julia! Looking forward to meeting new people and seeing old friends. Shall we make a daily knit in as Courtney suggested? How about 4th Floor, by ballroom G near the escalators, past the coffee counter?

Works for me -- I am sitting up at the tables to the left of the Microsoft Silverlight area now. Got my Noro scarf on and looking forward to meeting some of y'all.
FYI - Etsy will be down in front of HCW several days this week and next giving demos and STUFF!
